There is a virgin grove (mentioned here goo.gl/DKWrfi) "downhill" from Cusack's. I have been downhill (toward Aptos Creek) a few times, and while there are some virgin trees deep in the woods, I've not seen a true grove. However, there's this round of trees just northwest of the meadow not far off the trail. I think this is the "grove", but I am still not exactly sure.
